Kinco and Welch merge to add suspenders to Kinco’s extensive glove lineup
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
PORTLAND, OR, [August 1, 2021] – Kinco®, the leader in quality work, safety, garden and thermal gloves is pleased to announce its acquisition of Welch® Workwear. The acquisition expands Kinco’s reach and product offering, while offering retailers of both brands the benefit of single-contact ease of ordering, consolidation of shipments, and industry-leading customer service.
Kinco’s steadfast focus on manufacturing reliable and durable gloves and providing industry-leading service has helped position them as a respected brand for more than 45 years, and with the addition of Welch workwear to its line up, offers customers a comprehensive product selection that is handcrafted in the USA. Each pair of Welch suspenders continues to be crafted from carefully selected and inspected materials, are hand punched and hand-sewn, and assembled domestically for shorter production times and faster delivery to its customers.
Both Kinco and Welch grew from humble beginnings in their family homes in the Portland-metro area, and continue to be second-generation family-owned companies. They share brand ethos built on quality, tradition and family values.
“I am incredibly grateful and happy that Kinco’s values align with Welch; and I trust that this new venture will benefit our employees, our product, and most importantly our partnerships with our customers,” said Diana Welch, former owner from 1996-2019 and daughter of founder Fred Welch. “Under their direction, I’m confident that Kinco will continue the Welch legacy that my father started in 1967.”
The acquisition of Welch not only expands Kinco’s reach and product offering, but allows both brands to continue to be leaders of quality product with generous sizing in the industry while staying true to their roots of hard work, craftsmanship, and customer service that have inspired brand loyalty among both its customers for years.
